En realidad, son nuestros dispositivos de referencia para captar la luz y convertirla en pura magia. Cada lente tiene sus propias caracter\u00edsticas, efectos especiales y estilo visual, pero no s\u00f3lo eso. Cada uno cuenta una historia diferente, incluso los ultraanchos m\u00e1s salvajes. Hoy hablaremos del lente ojo de pez, su look distintivo y su uso narrativo en las pel\u00edculas.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El nombre \u201cOjo de pez\u201d proviene de su inventor, el f\u00edsico Robert W. Wood. En 1906, desarroll\u00f3 un lente que imitaba c\u00f3mo ver\u00eda un pez el mundo bajo el agua. Originalmente, como en el caso de los <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cined.com\/behind-the-cinematic-look-of-anamorphic-lenses-a-short-guide-for-beginners\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sistemas \u00f3pticos anam\u00f3rficos<\/a>, no ten\u00eda nada que ver con el cine y la fotograf\u00eda y se utilizaba principalmente para la investigaci\u00f3n del cielo y el estudio de las formaciones de nubes en meteorolog\u00eda. Eso cambi\u00f3 en la d\u00e9cada de 1960 y, desde entonces, podemos disfrutar de sus poderes narrativos en nuestras pel\u00edculas favoritas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Estilo a trav\u00e9s de aberraciones<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>En el curso de MZed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mzed.com\/courses\/the-art-and-science-of-lenses\/?tap_a=17272-420962&amp;tap_s=5179465-6bb066\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cEl Arte y la Ciencia de los Lentes\u201d<\/a>, el cineasta y educador Tal Lazar explica el t\u00e9rmino \u201caberraci\u00f3n\u201d, que solemos encontrar en relaci\u00f3n a los lentes (especialmente a los extremos como un ojo de pez). De hecho, es eso lo que les da personalidad. Y es exactamente lo que queremos, \u00bfno?, que las cosas tengan car\u00e1cter. Su distancia focal puede ser de 8 a 10mm o incluso menos (o m\u00e1s, dependiendo del sensor de la c\u00e1mara). Como ya comentamos, esto crea una severa distorsi\u00f3n en los bordes de la imagen y, a veces, incluso un borde negro que rodea la toma esf\u00e9rica. Seguramente ya has experimentado este efecto, pero si no, imagina que es como mirar una bola de cristal reflejada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los lentes son una de las herramientas creativas m\u00e1s importantes en cinematograf\u00eda. Si aprendes los fundamentos de la \u00f3ptica, obtendr\u00e1s la capacidad de dise\u00f1ar pruebas de lentes, colaborar con t\u00e9cnicos y comprender las especificaciones t\u00e9cnicas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Uso narrativo de un lente ojo de pez<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00bfQu\u00e9 aporta este look \u00fanico? En primer lugar, nos permite mantener un objeto o un personaje en el medio del encuadre y la atenci\u00f3n del espectador, pero al mismo tiempo, revelar la mayor cantidad posible del entorno que lo rodea; Es por eso que a las c\u00e1maras de acci\u00f3n como GoPro les encantan los lentes ojo de pez, y a menudo los utilizan en secuencias de deportes extremos. Ah\u00ed es donde la narraci\u00f3n visual y el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cined.com\/visual-subtext-makes-your-story-richer-here-is-how-it-works\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">trabajo con subtextos<\/a> empiezan a jugar un papel importante.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Mirando por la portilla<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Uno de los ejemplos m\u00e1s recientes es el largometraje nominado al Oscar de Yorgos Lanthimos, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cined.com\/behind-the-scenes-of-poor-things-a-playground-for-beauty-and-bizarreness\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Poor Things<\/a>.\u201d Esta pel\u00edcula es una experiencia extra\u00f1a en s\u00ed misma, pero lo que hace que sea a\u00fan m\u00e1s intensa es el uso que se hace en la pel\u00edcula de herramientas visuales poco comunes. Junto con el director de fotograf\u00eda Robbie Ryan, Yorgos eligi\u00f3 para la producci\u00f3n cinco lentes en total, y entre ellos, uno de 4mm (T2 OpTex Super Cine). En segundo lugar, rompe nuestras expectativas. Estamos acostumbrados a planos amplios que nos ayudan a situarnos en la escena y en el espacio cinematogr\u00e1fico. El lente ojo de pez de \u201cPoor Things\u201d hace lo contrario, desorienta a la audiencia y hace que nuestra mente se tome un momento para adaptarse, que es precisamente la intenci\u00f3n de Lanthimos a lo largo de toda la historia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La mirada de ojo de pez como elemento perturbador en \u201cPoor Things\u201d, no fue la primera vez que el director Yorgos Lanthimos y el director de fotograf\u00eda Robbie Ryan confiaron en un lente ojo de pez para la narraci\u00f3n visual. La perspectiva distorsionada realza la confusi\u00f3n de emociones de la protagonista, la reina Ana, y sus dos amantes, Sarah y Abigail, que compiten por su atenci\u00f3n y poder. Como en el caso de \u201cPoor Things\u201d, esta pel\u00edcula es una experiencia surrealista en general y nunca estamos muy seguros de d\u00f3nde residen las lealtades de los personajes. El uso de un lente tan extremo enfatiza la extra\u00f1eza de la protagonista (que prefiere jugar con sus 17 conejos que gobernar) y su corte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Experimentar con la percepci\u00f3n del personaje<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Un campo de visi\u00f3n distorsionado tambi\u00e9n puede resultar muy \u00fatil para representar una realidad distorsionada, como durante las alucinaciones. Esa es la est\u00e9tica visual que conscientemente busca \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0180093\/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_8_nm_0_in_0_q_requiem\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Requiem for a Dream<\/a>\u201d de Darren Aronofsky. Una de las protagonistas, Sara, poco a poco se hunde m\u00e1s en la adicci\u00f3n al tomar pastillas para adelgazar. Ella cree que va a ser una estrella en un programa de televisi\u00f3n. La televisi\u00f3n es central en su vida dom\u00e9stica, y aparecer all\u00ed se convierte en su m\u00e1xima fantas\u00eda. Yo, personalmente, me siento intimidado y perturbado. Sara atraviesa una confusi\u00f3n interna y el lente la transmite brillantemente. Adem\u00e1s, el ojo de pez imita la curvatura de la pantalla del televisor. Por lo tanto, cuando Sara tiene alucinaciones, se siente como si viviera dentro del televisor. Cuando la mirada de ojo de pez comienza a aparecer en escenas de la vida real, como en una visita al consultorio de un m\u00e9dico, sabemos que su transici\u00f3n a una persona adicta est\u00e1 completa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Truman Show<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Otro personaje que vivi\u00f3 literalmente dentro de la televisi\u00f3n fue Truman Burbank, interpretado por Jim Carrey. Si aprendes los fundamentos de la \u00f3ptica, obtendr\u00e1s la capacidad de dise\u00f1ar pruebas de lentes, colaborar con t\u00e9cnicos y comprender las especificaciones t\u00e9cnicas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Uso narrativo de un lente ojo de pez<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00bfQu\u00e9 aporta este look \u00fanico? En primer lugar, nos permite mantener un objeto o un personaje en el medio del encuadre y la atenci\u00f3n del espectador, pero al mismo tiempo, revelar la mayor cantidad posible del entorno que lo rodea; Es por eso que a las c\u00e1maras de acci\u00f3n como GoPro les encantan los lentes ojo de pez, y a menudo los utilizan en secuencias de deportes extremos. En segundo lugar, rompe nuestras expectativas. Estamos acostumbrados a planos amplios que nos ayudan a situarnos en la escena y en el espacio cinematogr\u00e1fico.
