The Mnet Full Presentation.
I finally got around to putting together a little BTS from this killer Promo I shot for Director Steve Petersen of Big Machine. The Promo is for a new Asian Pop Culture Network Called Mnet. The spot was shot with a Canon 5D Mark II with Zeiss ZE primes. As you can see in the final promo a ton of post work was done to the spot. We used a Redrock Micro Eyespy Deluxe Shoulder rig for the handheld shots. We also used a 6.5″ Marshall and 17″ Marshall for reference monitors. We managed to use only two 400W Kobold HMI’s to key the green screen and two 1 x 1 litepanels for eye light.
For the exterior set we used a bevy of Kino Flo Flourscent lights and two ArriSoft Bank Kits. We also used a 1K Mole light inside the vending machine with a dimmer. The Best Boy was controlling the mole light to go with the beat of the song. We also used a projector inside the machine to get the wild lighting effect on the actors face before entering the world of Mnet. We ended up with a Fisher Dolly but no 100mm ball adapter so we ratchet strapped a Hi-Hat to the floorboard of the dolly and off we went. The BTS action was shot with an iPhone 4. We all had a great time for this night shoot. A Big Thank You to Steve Petersen and Big Machine.
