8Sinn has recently introduced a new camera cage designed for the FUJIFILM X-H2 and the X-H2S. The lightweight aluminum cage features several 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 mounting points on the top, left and right sides. There is also an optional HDMI cable clamp available for your top-mounted monitor. Let’s take a closer look!
The FUJIFILM X-H2 and X-H2S are fantastic cameras and the X-H2 became CineD’s mirrorless camera of the Year 2022 for a very good reason. It is an almost perfect all-rounder camera for us at CineD and it’s like having a digital “Swiss Army Knife” at our disposal. The FUJIFILM X-H2 can internally record up to 8K30p (8K = 7680 x 4320px) in ProRes 422 HQ for up to 30 minutes straight.

Camera cages are essential for professional videographers and photographers, who are using a mirrorless camera, or in other words: the camera is my life!
The new 8Sinn camera cage for FUJIFILM X-H2 and X-H2S cameras (they share the same body design), has a very slim design that follows very closely the camera body. It’s always pleasant to have a camera cage with a slim design and not add unnecessary bulk or weight to your camera, especially when you are a one-man band and have to carry all your gear yourself.
The lightweight design comes from durable aluminum, and the cage offers decent protection for your FUJIFILM X-H2 and X-H2S cameras while allowing you to add various accessories to enhance your filming or photography experience. The cage provides your video rig with multiple 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threaded holes for mounting accessories, such as a microphone, lights, and a tripod.
The 8Sinn camera cage for FUJIFILM X-H2 and X-H2S cameras is available now for $139 directly at 8Sinn’s website. An HDMI cable clamp for $19 is also available to secure the connection to an on-top preview monitor.
Just keep in mind that you will need an extra top handle for the 8Sinn cage, which are available from $65 for the Black Raven Top Handle to the more versatile Nato Rail Top Handle Pro model for $108,90.
If you want to know more about the FUJIFILM X-H2 and X-H2S, please check out the manufacturer’s website and watch “I’m Misa”, shot on FUJIFILM X-H2S, below.
