Atomos brought a new solution for UVC (USB Video Class) Streaming – the Atomos CONNECT. It’s an HDMI to USB converter, works with any HDMI device, and converts videos of up to 4Kp30 to UVC Streaming up to 1080p60. It has universal support for all popular streaming platforms.
With 64 x 28 x 13mm (L x W x H) and 21.4g, the Atomos CONNECT is bridging the world between any HDMI device such as Atomos Video Capture devices and UVC Streaming via Mac or PC. It allows the user to take 4K(up to 30p), HD(up to 60p) or 720p (up to 60p) sources and output up to a maximum of 1080p60(YUV.JPEG). The CONNECT supports 8, 10 and 12-bit deep color and supports HDMI Cables up to 15 meters.
Simply connect the HDMI of any Atomos Video Capture device or any Camera, plug the USB into your Mac or PC, open any UVC application such as OBS or Wirecast and you are ready to go live. The Atomos CONNECT also supports CDN (Content delivery network) and Social Media platforms such as Skype, MS Teams, Zoom or Twitch. It can turn your favorite camera into a live webcam.
With the last Firmware Update, the Atomos Shogun 7 Monitor/Recorder allows multi-camera recording and switching up to four 1080p60 sources. The Touchscreen of Shogun allows you to cue and switch cameras with one touch. With the support of CONNECT, you can directly stream the multi-camera video from the Shogun 7. The package solution with CONNECT and Shogun 7 is a super simple, compact multi-camera video capture and live streaming solution.
