RigWheels recently announced the RigWheels Mag-Tight Curve launch, a new version of the original Mag-Tight launched in 2016. The Mag-Tight Curve allows you to mount your camera inside a car and still use your wipers under rainy conditions. Let’s take a closer look at this one of a kind product!
If you never heard of RigWheels, it’s an American company founded by industry professional Lance Lundstrom ten years ago.
We already reported about the company’s Cloud Mount to attach a camera outside a moving vehicle, their SlingShot gimbal mount, as well as the Passport 2 Slider and original Mag-Tight car mount system.
For the company’s 10th anniversary, RigWheels launched a follow-up version of their Mag-Tight car mount: the RigWheels Mag-Tight Curve.
The original RigWheels Mag-Tight is a simple and effective tool to mount a camera or camera accessory on to a vehicle. The system consists of two parts:
Both magnets have a rubber coating so they won’t scratch your window. Also, compared to traditional vacuum suction cup mounting solutions, the RigWheels Mag-Tight is extremely fast to set up and adjust.
The RigWheels Mag-Tight Curve is basically a follow up version with a domed surface on the external magnet. As RigWheels describes it:
One consideration when using the setup was the inability to use windshield wipers or the need to place the system on a portion of the windshield where the wipers would not pass over. The new Mag-Tight Curve solves this problem which allows the wipers to pass over.RigWheels

The rest of the system is the same as the original one. This means, if you already own the Mag-Tight, you can upgrade your kit by purchasing only two of the new RigMount 100 Curve magnets.
The RigWheels Mag-Tight Curve is now available for $275. The kit includes two RigMount 100 Curve magnets, two standard RigMount 100 magnets, a mini grip-head with a hot-shoe adapter for the top side of the camera, and a friction arm for the bottom side of the camera.
