Fomex recently launched new 1×1 and 2×1 RGBWW flexible LED panels: the Flexcolor FC600 and FC1200. These lightweight and portable fixtures are IP64 rated, come in 60 and 120W flavors, and have a CRI over 95 and a TLCI over 98. Let’s take a closer look at these!
Fomex is well-known for its flexible LED fixtures that you can find in most rental houses worldwide. We already reported about their huge model, the RollLite RL66-1200 6×6′, which has a massive light output.
This year at IBC 2022, the company is back with two more “reasonably-sized” models for independent filmmakers and content creators: the Flexcolor FC600 and Flexcolor FC1200.
The Fomex Flexcolor FC600 is a 1×1 60W RGBWW flexible LED panel, while its big brother, the FC1200, is a 2×1 120W version. However, both versions have a lot of things in common:
At the back of the panels, there are new screw-in mounting clips. I like these, as I found the more traditional clip-on brackets to be less reliable and solid.
Both mats are IP64 water/dustproof, but the new Flexcolor ballast is not.
However, the ballast features a built-in V-Mount/Gold Mount battery plate with a D-Tap output and supports the Lumen Radio CRMX control system. In addition, a new Bluetooth module called Timo Two enables high-level control and reliability for wireless control.
The Fomex Flexcolor FC600 and FC1200 are available now to order from CVP. The FC600 is €2.105, while the FC1200 retails for €2.408.
