Angelbird has just released three new SD cards: the AV PRO SD V30 UHS-I. These memory cards offer read speeds up to 100MB/s and write speeds up to 92MB/s, so they are not the fastest on the market, but they are incredibly affordable and designed for everyday use. So, let’s take a closer look at these!
Austrian manufacturer Angelbird is well-known for making high-quality, fast, and reliable memory cards primarily aimed at photographers, filmmakers, and content creators. However, the company also makes more affordable and “entry-level” memory cards, such as the AV PRO microSDXC V30 UHS-I A2 for drones and action cameras, released earlier this year. Indeed, it’s usually much easier for a manufacturer to make slower memory cards when they know how to make fast and durable ones than the other way around.
After the microSDXC lineup, Angelbird continues to expand its range of UHS-I memory cards with the launch of AV PRO SD V30 UHS-I.
Unlike the Angelbird AV PRO SD V60 and V90, which are UHS-II SD cards designed for “advanced creative production” with high read/write speeds, the new AV PRO SD V30 UHS-1 cards are made for everyday life.
This new lineup of memory cards will be available in three flavors: 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB. All cards have a maximum read speed of up to 100 MB/s, but when it comes to write speeds, the 64GB version has a slower 52 MB/s write speed compared to 92 MB/s for the 128GB and 256GB models.
All cards feature a write-protect switch and resist shock, moisture, x-rays, and magnets. Also, you can use these SD cards in challenging shooting environments with temperatures ranging from -25 °C to 85 °C and 95% humidity.
The Angelbird AV PRO SD V30 UHS-I 64GB retails for €15.59, the 128GB model is €23.99, and the 256GB version is €39.59.
