We are expanding our show coverage of NAB 2024 with a larger-than-ever team in cooperation with FUJIFILM, and we invite you to be part of the CineD team! Extra social media teams will roam the show floor to cover additional new products and technologies specifically for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. Two participants will be chosen to receive a FUJIFILM X-H2S & XF 18-120mm f/4 LM PZ WR lens to keep, plus allowance, food, and hotel accommodations covered … read on to learn more!
UPDATE:Â Entries are CLOSED. Due to the overwhelming amount of entries, it will take us until early April to decide on who is invited to round #2! Thank you all for participating!
Next to our traditional coverage – product interview videos to be published on YouTube (here are all of the videos from the last NAB) just like we do for every trade show we attend – CineD will have two dedicated teams who will produce additional content specifically for our Instagram and TikTok channels as well as YouTube Shorts.
Our objective for the extended social media coverage is to let the filmmaking community experience NAB 2024 as if they were there, by sharing engaging reels covering different topics. These topics will include additional short coverage of individual products but also overviews of categories, behind-the-scenes looks at the show itself, CineD working at the show, and much, much more.
We are looking for two shooters to join our CineD team during NAB 2024. Their responsibility will be to be in charge of filming social media content. They will work in a small dedicated team – a producer/director and an assistant – who will produce these videos together. Editing will happen either remotely or in the press room (by a different person) thanks to FUJIFILM and Frame.io Camera-to-Cloud, and both teams will carry wireless hotspots to connect the cameras to the cloud while on the show floor in order to upload the footage directly during the shooting, for quick turnaround. We worked using a similar workflow in cooperation with FUJIFILM last year and produced a nice little mini-documentary around it, which you can watch here in case you missed it.
Joining the team requires you to work with us from April 13th (arrival day and briefing) until April 17th, 2024 (the last day of the show and departure after the show closes in the evening). Please keep in mind that flexible working hours will be required.
If we choose you to be one of the two shooters to support our crew during NAB 2024, each one of you will get a FUJIFILM X-H2S camera + XF 18-120mm f/4 LM PZ WR lens to keep. The total value of each package is $3,398.
What is covered: – Hotel: Conrad Las Vegas at Resorts World (or equivalent) for 4 nights (April 13-17) – a $100/day per diem– food during work time (and you’ll be welcome to join us for team dinners, which we will cover as well, of course)
What is NOT covered: Flight ticket or any other means of transportation to Las Vegas. We aim to have people on the team who were planning to go to NAB anyway or had been thinking about going. Also, the winners must present valid health insurance, one that covers their stay or trip to the U.S.
If you are interested in joining us, fill out your details below, and show us some of your current work samples – and ideally, some work that is relevant to the context of “show coverage”. You should be able to work fast and effectively, and also under some time pressure. Plus, you should be a good team player – and have fun doing all that 😉.
Applications are open until March 28th, at 23.59 PST.
We promise to get back to every applicant, and if chosen, we will be in touch with you regarding a video call for the next round of the application process. After the round of personal calls, we will choose the additional team members who will be working with us.
Full terms and conditions for this competition can be found here.
This initiative is open to anyone but is most suited to those who want to attend NAB anyway and would like to experience the show from a different perspective. Or, if you were thinking about going but weren’t sure if you could justify it, and would like to be part of a creative team, then this is your perfect excuse!
We are looking forward to having two motivated, dedicated team members in our video crew during NAB and look forward to hearing from you!
