In case you missed it, DJI Avata 2 and its accessories got a firmware update. These updates include firmware for the DJI Goggles Integra, Goggles 2 and Goggles 3, RC Motion 2, the FPV Remove Controller 3, and more. Let’s have a look.
The popular DJI Avata 2 (we reviewed it here) is a light (377g/0.83lbs), sleek, compact FPV drone that has a powerful 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor and a 12MP camera, plus RockSteady 3.0+ and HorizonSteady stabilization to deliver smooth and clear footage during intricate maneuvers.
With this latest update, we see support for DJI Goggles Integra and DJI Goggles 2 and 3, the ability to record in 4K at 100 frames per second for slow-motion enthusiasts, additional compatibility with the DJI RC Motion 2 and DJI FPV Remote Controller 2, and more. Furthermore, the update introduces support for Remote ID in select areas. DJI has also stated that some “known issues” were addressed.
Here is an overview of what’s included in the update:
As a reminder, you will need to upgrade your DJI Fly app to the latest version, 1.13.4, to access the new features.
You can get all your downloads here, and if you don’t have one, you can purchase the Avata 2 (drone only) for $489 / €421.62 (without VAT). For more information, please visit the DJI website.
What do you think of this latest firmware update for the Avata 2? Are you impressed with the new slow-motion capabilities? Let us know in the comments!
