Sony NXCAM HD Teaser Video.

H. Paul Moon posted this teaser video of the New Sony NXCAM HD Super 35mm camera. This looks to be a killer camera. The new Sony will accept PL Mount lenses with an adapter. Sony has also announced a few PL Mount prime lenses. The new primes are 35mm, 50mm and 85mm all T2.0. Here is a rip from H.Paul Moon’s Vimeo page. The estimated street price is around $6K.

“Sony is developing their follow-up to the NEX-VG10, just as expected, to address the complaints, the needs, and the pockets of professionals. Although the NXCAM HD will use the same E-mount lens system as the NEX-VG10, its sensor will exceed the size of APS-C with a Super 35mm frame and true native 1080p resolution to prevent aliasing/moiré. Estimated availability is “mid-2011.”
