Adobe Project Rush is camera, editing, color, audio and motion graphics on Mac and Windows desktop, iOS and Android. Welcome to the future.
Adobe have been quietly creating a next generation toolset for online content creators. Leveraging the power of modern smartphones and tablets, and the underlying image processing code and algorithms behind Adobe’s existing desktop post production software, Adobe want to put a comprehensive and feature rich shoot to edit to publish toolset in the hands of content creators everywhere.
Adobe Project Rush is firmly aimed at YouTubers and creators of online content, and it’s designed to make the process fast and intuitive. The purpose of Adobe Project Rush is to enable the production of high quality content from shoot, through post, and publish across multiple online channels and social media platforms. This is all managed from within a single application that can run on your smartphone or tablet.
Initial impressions indicate that Project Rush will be easy and intuitive to learn and use for anyone, even without a professional editing or post production background. It is not intended to replace Premiere, Audition or After Effects for professional commercial projects or long form editorial and finishing.
Adobe are currently accepting applications to their beta program, you can apply online from the website.
What do you think about the future of mobile content creation? Is it about time we had professional tools to create, edit and publish direct from smartphones and tablets? Let us know what you think.
