Initially the Blackmagic Cinema Camera was expected to be shipped by July 31st. If you’ve been waiting for yours you might have noticed that this estimate hasn’t been met, there’s no sign of any real cameras yet, in fact they’re still waiting in the shelves at Blackmagic Design.
This came from Blackmagic Design’s Senior Communications Manager Patrick Hussey:“(…) Nearly ready for manufacturing and shipping, the camera is in the final stages of Thunderbolt certification and internal testing. we anticipate shipping of the first units will commence in the second week of August, with the first shipments getting to our resellers by the third week of August.”
