Today only, B&H is running a few special deals, and we find some of the included products quite interesting, such as the Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2 for $500 off. Let’s take a closer look at this flash sale, and what is being offered today only: June 5th, until 11:59 PM EST.
Special deals come and go, but here are a few items that you might find interesting to explore:
Announced a year ago in June 2022, this camera is an upgraded version of the original 6K model. Having an adjustable LCD screen, longer battery life (now supports NP-F570 style battery), and support for an optional electronic viewfinder make this camera a better filming tool for some. As with the original model, it comes with a Super 35 sensor, EF lens mount, and mini XLR audio inputs. Internal BRAW and ProRes recording is of course supported too. The biggest difference between the BMPCC 6K G2 and the 6K Pro is the lack of built-in ND filters.
CFexpress Type B is becoming the de facto standard of modern mirrorless cameras when it comes to recording media, and this flash deal captures our attention. For complete transparency, we haven’t worked with Delkin cards so we can’t share any working experience with you guys. (If you have used them, please share with us in the comment section below). But I mean, this 1TB card is now $99, and at this price, it is too hard to ignore. Mind you, the first batch of this card is sold out, so if you decide to go for it, ask to be notified when it is back in stock (hopefully while this sale is still on).
Delkin states that the card “can achieve maximum read speeds of up to 1780 MB/s, maximum write speeds of 1700 MB/s, and sustained write speeds of 1490 MB/s. According to the company, it is well-suited for raw and continuous-burst photography, as well as 8K, 6K, and 4K video at high bit rates and frame rates”.
Here is an Ultracompact lightweight V-mount battery from SmallRig. Looking at its specifications, it seems like a perfect traveling battery with additional external power outputs like USB-A, USB-C, D-Tap, fast DP charging, and more.
There is also a built-in OLED display that shows the remaining battery capacity and status.
Key Features:
As many of us are constantly traveling for work around the globe, and at the same time struggling with airline luggage weight and size restrictions, this travel tripod might be a valid option to explore, especially if you are working with a DSLR or mirrorless camera.
