Cineroid's Electronic Viewfinder. Photo By: Johnnie Behiri
DSLR News Shooter Johnnie Behiri sent me these photos of a new EVF shown at IBC 2010 from a company called Cineroid. I think Electronic Viewfinders will be the next wave of gear from many manufactures. The Cineroid EVF is a 3.2 inch LCD with 800 X 400 lines of resolution connected via the HDMI output on the camera. It looks like it is powered from a Canon Style LP-E6 battery. They have developed a HDMI loop through back that can be connected to the LCD to add an additional HDMI output for monitoring. The base EVF unit will cost around $700 US. The loop through EVF will cost around $900. The Cineroid EVF is set for an October 2010 release date.
***UPDATE. It is a Sony Battery powering the EVF according to the Source: Johnnie Behiri.
