B&H are offering instant savings on San Disk Extreme Pro and Lexar 1000x speed compact flash cards. Click the below banners to follow through to each respective deal. The $250 savings on the 128GB San Disk is a great deal, a nice addition to any Canon 1DC users kit bag. There is limited supply at these prices, so be quick!
Lexar has also recently announced a new 1066X line, capable of delivering up to 160MB/s read and 155MB/s write speed. The line starts at a typical 16G card, and goes all the way up to an impressive 256G. Whilst the San Disk Extreme Pros fall a little short in sustainable write speed for 5D mark iii raw, these Lexar cards may well do the trick; but there’s no word on the official sustainable write speed.
This is normal, data like this is not usually made public by manufacturers. It usually takes a speed test from a third party reviewer or buyer the card yourself to find out. Lexar documentation states a minimum or 65MB/s write speed for these, but I expect the sustainable maximum speed to be more, judging on what a Komputerbay 1000x card is capable of outputting.
