edelkrone has just announced the JibONE v2, an update to their collapsible, go-anywhere, motorized camera control system. This update to their popular jib solution boasts updates that were shaped largely by customer feedback. Let’s see what features they’ve cooked up!
Released a little over 2 years ago, edelkrone’s original JibONE turned a lot of heads with its unique capabilities. Not only can this system help you create smoother camera movements, but it also collapses into a backpack and travel anywhere. It offers a fast and simple setup, silent and smooth motions, user-friendly time-lapse and stop motion options, and vertical, horizontal or diagonal operation.
JibONE v2 inherits the legacy of the original model, while offering a better overall user experience via a series of new connectivity and power features in a more compact form factor.
Such improvements include a physical power button, a screen displaying fundamental information, as well as an improved wireless connection. Moreover, the system now gets support for a fully wired operation via Link Port and comes with a stronger, more resistant head plate.
Furthermore, the new JibONE v2 is designed to seamlessly work with other devices in the edelkrone ecosystem to provide a user-friendly approach to motorized camera movements. For example, the unit can be paired with the Vision Module for face/object tracking and wireless video transmission, the Pan PRO module to unlock an extra axis, or the HeadPLUS module to add auto-target features.
The new edelkrone JibONE v2 is compatible with smartphone devices via a Bluetooth app. The app scans its surroundings to look for a compatible device, then pairs automatically. It allows users to control the most important settings of their JibONE v2 and edelkrone modules. Moreover, the company also offers a physical remote controller that is compatible with all their motorized systems, including this new model.
The JibONE v2 is available for purchase on the edelkrone online store. Although its official retail price is $1299, the company is offering this new product at a discounted introductory price of $999 until May 1st, 2022.
Have you used the original edelkrone JibONE on your shoots? What has your experience been with edelkrone products? Let us know in the comments below.
