++++Please note, this video review was done with a beta quality Canon 70D camera which is producing beta quality images++++
My aim during this test was to see how good the overall video quality of the new Canon 70D is. I might have skipped the indoor part in a “real editing” but left it as I wanted to share with you more footage in a different surrounding/movement/lighting condition.
I’m very cautious with my wording and hope Canon still has the time to enhance the video quality coming out of this camera before it hits the market. (A separate test will be made to see how good the new auto focus is).
My expectations were high, after all it is Canon’s first APS-C sensor VDSLR camera equipped with the new DIGIC 5+ engine. At present time there is not much to rave about the video quality coming out of that sample 70D camera.Images are extremely soft, a bit noisy and moire and aliasing are everywhere.
Audio was recorded on camera as part of the test.
Camera picture profile: Neutral (30% sharpness was added in post to compensate for the camera softness). No CC was applied.
