The FALCAM GearTree is a convenient all-in-one stand solution that is suitable for YouTubers, vloggers, and streamers producing content from their homes on a daily basis. It consists of the main support structure and a series of arms that can provide support to cameras, lights, and more.
FALCAM is a Chinese manufacturer that mainly focuses on the production of camera accessories. We recently reported about their new cage for Panasonic’s flagship Micro Four Thirds camera, the LUMIX GH6.
During IBC 2022, we stopped by the company’s booth to learn more about their GearTree all-in-one stand system, which is designed for vloggers and YouTubers who need to turn a small home space into a permanent creator’s studio. Let’s take a closer look at it!
The FALCAM GearTree stand system consists of the main structure, from which a series of arms extend to allow users to rig all the video gear they need. The main structure comes in three different flavors:
The main tube is made of CNC-machined 6063 aluminum. Its walls are 3.5mm thick and act as a robust support for the whole system. According to the company, the floor-to-ceiling stand can support up to 400kg of gear, while the desktop stand can bear a maximum payload of 40kg.
The supporting arms extend from the main structure and can offer support to a variety of tools, including cameras, lights, microphones, monitors, or laptops – you name it. The system is expandable, meaning that you can add as many arms as you want, depending on your specific needs. Different types of arms are available, including an Extension Grip Arm, Full Motion Swivel Arm, Triangle Extension Arm, and Boom Arm.
The arms can easily be re-positioned and some of them can be folded so that they don’t take up too much space. Accessories can be attached in many different ways, including cold-shoe mounts, 15.8mm studs, a tilt-pan video head, VESA monitor mounts, and the company’s F38 and F22 quick-release interfaces.
The new GearTree stand system is now available to purchase from B&H. Although you can create a custom-made setup by purchasing parts individually, FALCAM offers some pre-bundled kits. Their prices vary as follows:
