FilmConvert announced that its picture profile for the Sony a7S III has been added. Filmmakers can now grade the a7S III footage with FilmConvert Nitrate and get the desired film stock look with accurate colors. Furthermore, there is currently an interesting Black Friday deal for FilmConvert Nitrate.
If you are not familiar with it yet, FilmConvert is a helpful app (either standalone or in form of a plugin for all popular NLEs) for simplified grading and film stock looks. FilmConvert Nitrate emulates real photochemical film stock to achieve the desired film look. FilmConvert offers a wide variety of picture profiles for popular cameras. The FilmConvert license gives users access to all the camera packs currently available plus 12 months of new camera pack updates.
Sony a7S III has been announced in summer 2020 – five long years after its predecessor came out. The camera certainly is one of the most popular mirrorless bodies of 2020. It records up to 4K UHD 120fps in 10-bit full-sensor internally. It features a great low light performance with (non-official) dual-base ISO of 640 and 12800, IBIS, and good autofocus. Last but not least, the camera can output a 16-bit RAW video signal over its full-size HDMI port. Make sure to take a look at our a7S III Review and Lab Test to learn more about the camera.
The FilmConvert team announced that the profile for the Sony a7S III has been added to their library, so filmmakers can now use FilmConvert to grade footage from the camera. Why is this important, you ask? Well, only using a custom picture profile made specifically for the camera ensures accurate colors.
It is worth mentioning that there are now nice Black Friday offers including FilmConvert Nitrate:
