Italian manufacturer HPRC recently released a protective wheeled hard case specifically designed for the DJI Inspire 3: the 2800W. This watertight case can store the drone, ten batteries, the Zenmuse X9-8K air gimbal camera case and lenses, the two remote controllers, and much more. So let’s take a closer look at this tailor-made case!
The DJI Inspire 3 was launched in April 2023, and if you missed it, you could look at our interview with DJI during NAB 2023 here. Also, we’re thrilled to announce that our exclusive review of DJI’s flagship drone should be available soon. It’s time for my colleague Nino to finish it and get it out of the editing room!
Plaber, the company behind the HPRC brand, is specialized in creating hard cases since 2006. These cases are made out of resin and are nearly indestructible. Indeed, HPRC claims their cases are no less than “acid, scratch, corrosion, and dust-proof, able to resist extreme weather conditions and temperature changes from -40° to +80°C, and are watertight.” After their case for the DJI Ronin 4D-6K, HPRC is back with a new wheeled hard case for the DJI Inspire 3.
The HPRC case for the DJI Inspire 3 is a relatively big, hard case with external dimensions of 81.3 x 58.6 x 48cm/32 x 23.1 x 18.9in for an empty weight of 13.2kg/29.2 lbs. Due to its size and weight, the two carrying handles on both sides and the built-in wheels will significantly help to transport this beast when fully loaded.
This case is divided into two foam stages. When you open the case, the top part of the foam can store the DJI Inspire 3 with four propellers with two TB51 batteries installed, eight spare propellers, and small miscellaneous tools/accessories.
If you lift the top foam, you’ll find the second laser-cut storing foam, which can store:
As you can tell, everything you need to fly the DJI Inspire 3 fits in this case.
The HPRC wheeled hard case for the DJI Inspire 3 is now available for $716 / €993. What is nice is that if you sell your drone in the future without the case, you can repurpose the HPRC 2800W by replacing the foam with their precut foam (codename: HPRCCUB2800W) or some bags and dividers kit (codename: HPRCBAG2800W).
