Last week we shared the news about the limited offer on ARRI’s SkyPanel S60 being sold for half price. And today we are reporting on another special deal, but this time on the smaller sibling, the ARRI SkyPanel S30 which are solid and reliable fixtures made in Germany. This sort of quality usually comes at a price, but now, B&H has a deal you might be interested in: for a limited time, they are offering the ARRI SkyPanel S30-C LED Softlight at 50% off, making it available for $2,450 instead of $4,900. Let’s have a closer look at these LED fixtures from Germany.
The smaller ARRI SkyPanel S30-C is 35,5x30cm/14×11,8in, and about half the length of the S60-C with a power consumption of 200W. Although it might be smaller, it is still a heavy and solid fixture. The pole-operated version has a weight of approx. 9kg/20lbs. This might be quite heavy, but ARRI says you will get between 25,000 and 50,000 operating hours. The LED light engine can also be recalibrated.
All ARRI SkyPanels have interchangeable thermoplastic diffusers to soften the light. The S30-C has a color temperature between 2.800 and 10.000K with a tolerance of 100K. You can control the light intensity, the green/magenta balance, and the color temperature with the three knobs on the back. There is also a small LED screen where you can see the data of the fixture.
You can run the ARRI SkyPanel S30-C on any 90-250 VAC power supply literally all around the world, and in the field, you can run the S30-C on a battery with 23-36V.
Power Supply/Controller
You can control all ARRI SkyPanels for larger lighting setups by DMX or a LAN network. It features a USB-A port for upgrading the firmware.
The 50% offer might be good, but the ARRI SkyPanel S30-C does not come with any transport box or a bag. As it is a very heavy LED fixture, I would highly recommend that you get yourself a decent transport box to protect it. For example, the Pelican 1640 transport case for $393.95 would fit perfectly for the S30-C.
The ARRI SkyPanel S30-C LED Softlight is now on sale at B&H for a limited time. You will get 50% off the original price, which currently retails for only $2,450.

What do you think about the ARRI SkyPanel S30-C? Have you ever used ARRISkyPanels for one of your projects? Would it be interesting for you at this price level? Please leave us your thoughts in the comment section below.
