Nikon had a big presence at SXSW. I got the chance to hit up Steve Heiner from Nikon. They have based most of their newer digital cameras around their lenses. This is one hurdle that has given them a few problems when it comes to shooting video. The newer Nikon D7000 will not let you adjust iris in live view mode. Nikon is working on a solution to this problem. They seemed to have something big coming down the road in the near future. True to form they were not able to discuss any on these new developments. We will just have to wait and see what happens next. Nikon certainly does know how to party. They set up a bunch of cameras, handed out sd cards and let people shoot Eclectic Method during this live concert. We were able to sneak on stage and capture some killer images. We shot this using the Panasonic AF100 and Panasonic GH2 with the super fast Voigtlander Nokton 25mm f0.95 lens.
