2023 is slowly coming to an end, and at this time we would love to hear from you guys about which camera you feel has made the most impact on our industry this year. To make it a bit easier, we grouped the cameras into three categories. Two votes in each category is possible, and, of course, it will be interesting to see if your observation is similar to ours. (The Mirrorless Camera of the Year 2023 article is coming soon).

It was a productive year for many of the manufacturers as so many cameras were released this year. New devices ranged from action cameras like the GoPro Hero12, DJI Osmo Action 4, or Insta360 Ace, all the way to high-end cinema cameras like the RED KOMODO-X and Sony BURANO. Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro/Max also made waves, implementing internal and external ProRes Log video recording.

A wide variety of cameras with different sensor sizes appeared this year including the new Panasonic LUMIX G9 II (Micro Four Thirds), the FUJIFILM X-S20 (APS-C), Nikon Z 8 (Full-Frame), and FUJIFILM GFX100 II (large-format sensor camera) to name a few. There are many contestants for the “Best Camera of the Year 2023”, but which one will you choose?
