REDmini primes & Scarlet

Red announced the specs and some pricing for the highly anticipated Red Scarlet. A fixed 8X lens Scarlet will cost just under $5K, while a interchangeable lens model will go for a little less than $3K, fairly inexpensive for Red standards. The new “Bomb EVF” will be available for $3200. Electronic RED, Nikon, and Canon Mounts at $500 a pop.

There will also be a bevy of tiny REDmini mount 2/3” lenses to go with the scarlet. Most notably a 6mm T1.5 and a 8mm T1.5 Both retail for $950.  For twice the price a step-up to Scarlet S35 can be had, mystery included with RED’s trademark,

“Subject to Change, Count on it.”
