SIGMA have just released two new firmware updates for both its fp (version 5.00) and fp L cameras (version 3.00). You’ll now benefit from a new “warm gold” color mode, support for 4TB SSD when recording externally, and Camera to Cloud support when used with an Atomos monitor/recorder. So let’s take a closer look at all these new features!
The SIGMA fp was released in October 2019, while the fp L, which features a full-frame image sensor, was launched in March 2021 along with the handy EVF-11. If there is one thing hard to deny, it’s the fact, the company puts a lot of effort into adding new features later down the road with numerous firmware updates since both launches. Last year, both cameras gained a False Color exposing tool, focus ring control, and much more.
This time, SIGMA is back with two firmware updates – ver. 5.00 for the fp and ver. 3.00 for the fp L – which further enhances the cameras’ capabilities.
With the new firmware updates for the fp and fp L, here are all the new features and functionalities SIGMA added:
All these updates are welcomed and such an accomplishment considering how compact and lightweight both the fp and fp L are!
Both firmware updates ver. 5.00 for the fp and ver. 3.00 for the fp L will be available to download free of charge on SIGMA’s support website starting February 8th, 2023.
What do you think about all these new features added to the SIGMA fp and fp L? What feature are you still waiting for? Did you already shoot with the fp or fp L? Don’t hesitate to let us know in the comments down below!
