Sirui Anamorphic Lenses for Sony FZ Mount Converted by MTF Services

MTF Services has just announced that the Sirui 24mm F/2.8 1.33, 35mm F/1.8 1.33x, and 50mm F/1.8 1.33x will now be available in Sony FZ Mount. Let’s take a closer look at these lenses for Sony F5, F55, and F3 users!

Sirui 1.33x anamorphic lenses have been trendy amongst independent filmmakers. Indeed, these “affordable” lenses give you access to the anamorphic look on a budget. My colleague Johnnie reviewed the Sirui 35mm F/1.8 1.33x recently with some great-looking footage, if you missed it.

The lenses are now available in various lens mounts, natively or via MTF Services, including M 4/3, Panasonic L-mount, Fujifilm X-Mount, Sony E-mount, Canon EF-M and Canon RF mount, and now Sony FZ mount.

MTF Services Sirui Anamorphic Lenses for Sony FZ Mount Cameras

British lens specialized company MTF Services already started converting Sirui’s anamorphic lenses to other popular lens mounts, including Panasonic L-Mount and Canon RF mount.

With Super 35 sensor coverage, the lenses are a great combo for the Sony F3/F5/F55. The lenses will fully cover these cameras’ sensors.

Once you de-squeeze the image in post, you’ll end up with a 2.4:1 letterbox image, that has the “traditional” oval bokeh and blue streak anamorphic lens flares.

Price and Availability

All the Sirui 1.33x anamorphic lenses in Sony FZ lens mount converted by MTF Services are available to order now. Each lens is sold pre-converted and can be purchased from MTF Service’s authorized dealers or directly from the MTF Services website.

The 24mm F/2.8 costs $1240/€1040 (plus tax), the 35mm F/1.8 is $1085/€910 (plus tax) and the 50mm F/1.8 costs $895/€750 (plus tax).
