Talking about the handles, we felt that their design was very unpractical. When you loosen the screw, you open two articulations at the same time that give you almost 360° of 3D rotation. We found it impossible to adjust these handles alone, you need an assistant to help you do this, or you will have to put the whole rig on a table to adjust it yourself, which then won’t let you adjust the handle properly. We didn’t like that at all. The articulations and handles are entirely made of plastic.
The shoulder pad is a metal plate that has two Velcro attachments. The shoulder pad attaches with the Velcro and sits unacceptably loose.
The articulations to adjust the height of the camera base plate and angle of the shoulder pad are all “L”wrench screws. The screws to adjust the base plate use a different wrench size than the screws that adjust the shoulder pad. Time consuming and unnecessary construction to say the least.
Another critique goes to the carbon fiber rods. They look as poorly crafted as the base plate surface and after several uses they seem to wear out quicker than any other set of rails in this review.
