DvTec Handheld Setup
This rig came in at the last minute and we weren’t sure what to expect. Although it isn’t 100% compatible with DSLR and matte boxes yet and has some flaws here and there, it does work well enough to be used for a serious shoot. This one proves to be one of the few handheld rigs we trust and would recommend for DSLR video. It has the necessary quality and is fast and simple.
When looking at the price, I triple checked three times with Danny to make sure the numbers were correct. Not only is this one of the few rigs that really work, but it’s also the cheapest rig in our entire review. This one is steady on the shoulder and rocks hard on paper. It therefore receives the C5D PRICE/VALUE award.
