Final Words:
So which one is the right one for you? We hope that after reading this little review we have helped you answer that question. We have tried to give you an overview of the rigs available for DSLR cameras that currently exist on the market and give our professional opinion about their use and quality.
We’ve seen a lot of poorly thought out gear in this test and we’ve seen other gear that really made us happy. Eventually I must say I’m terrified by the lack of intelligence that was put into some of the products. It is obvious that many weren’t tested for DSLR use.
We are happy that we found two companies that really sticked out over the rest. Vocas received our editor’s choice award because it really helps us concentrate on the job and it’s fit for DSLR use. DvTec received our price / value award because it offers sufficient quality and usefulness for DSLR and can even work for professionals at a price that blows our minds in comparison to the other pricetags we’ve seen in this review.
I want to thank BBC freelance cameraman Johnnie Behiri and photographer / DOP Serafin Spitzer from the Vienna Film Academy who review and evaluated these rigs thoroughly with me and brought their opinion in next to my own and were in for lots of discussion, late night photo sessions and carrying of lots of boxes.
I also thank cinema5D news writer Jared Abrams who went over this text and corrected most of my English flaws.
Thanks to you, dear readers for being patient and keeping this community and website alive by your input, suggestions, discussions and comments.
Also of course I want to thank all the companies that put their trust into our work here by lending us their gear. We hope we could also help you learn more about what kinds of tools we are longing for.
If anybody has any questions feel free to ask me. I will try to answer everything.
If you have critique or whatever, just go ahead and shoot. This is my address: [email protected]
