Tiffen is now shipping their three Filter ND/Polarizer Kit and six Filter ND & ND/Polarizer Kit for the DJI Mavic Mini. These unique neutral density and polarizing filters should greatly improve the results coming out of the tiny DJI drone. Let’s a closer look at it!

The Mavic Mini is the smallest and lightest foldable drone DJI has have ever made. Indeed, with a total weight of only 249 grams including the battery, it fits inside the palm of your hand. On the other hand, you can only shoot video in 1080p or 2.7K 25p or 30p with the Mavic Mini. For more information, read our in-depth review here, or take a look at our video review below.
Another thing one will notice is that there is no obvious way to attach any filter onto the lens of the drone’s camera. Usually, DJI releases their own set of ND filters for every drone they launch, but there was none released for the Mavic Mini.
To help and solve that problem, Tiffen is now shipping their three and six Tiffen Filter ND & ND/Polarizer Kits, specifically designed for the DJI Mavic Mini.
Two kits for the DJI Mavic Mini are now available from Tiffen: a three Filter ND/Polarizer kit, and a six Filter Kit.

Tiffen’s three Filter ND/PL Kit comes with neutral density/polarizer filters in various strengths:Â ND4PL, ND8PL, and ND16PL. These filters reduce the amount of light passing through by two/three/four stops. Also, the built-in polarizer filter controls reflections and reduces glare.
Tiffen’s six Filter Kit offers the same ND/PL filters and also includes three regular ND4/ND8/ND16 filters. Both kits come with a carrying case.
Each filter clips over the lens of the DJI Mavic Mini via an extension bracket that locks firmly to the back of the camera. Indeed, a falling filter is the last thing you want while your drone is in the air.
The Tiffen three Filter ND/PL Kit retails for $59.99, while the six filters version is $89.99. Both filter kits are available now.
What do you think of Tiffen’s Filter ND/PL kits? Do you shoot with the DJI Mavic Mini and have waited for filter options? Let us know in the comments below!
