Tiffen has just announced a three-filter ND kit designed specifically for the DJI Avata FPV drone. This kit includes ND8, ND16, and ND32 camera filters. With a retail price of $69,99, this Tiffen ND filter kit is less expensive than DJI’s kit for the Avata drone.
The DJI Avata FPV drone was launched at the end of August 2022, along with the new DJI Goggles 2. This small 410g/14.4oz FPV drone can capture video in up to 4K 60fps or 2.7K 120fps in MP4 with a 150Mbps bitrate. So if you want to get started in the FPV world, this might be an excellent little drone, to begin with.
Tiffen is well-known in the film industry for making high-quality filters. They already launched ND filter kits for the DJI Mini 3 Pro and are now back with a kit for the DJI Avata.
The Tiffen ND filter kit for the DJI Avata drone consists of three filters with various strengths: ND8, ND16, and ND32. The filters measure 22 x 18.3 x 1.8mm. They are made of aluminum and weigh only 0.05lbs/22.6g.
As outlined in the video above, the ND filter installation is quite straightforward: hold the camera, clip the filter into place, and you’re ready to fly.
Each Tiffen ND filter for the DJI Avata is made from optical glass with water- and scratch proof multi-coating. The high-quality coating reduces reflection while maintaining clarity and color fidelity. The DJI Avata is an FPV drone, so it is more prone to fall; having scratch proof filters is a must-have.
Also, the filter kit comes with a 10-year warranty, so you know your investment is safe.
The Tiffen ND filter kit for the DJI Avata drone is available now for $69,99. As a direct comparison, the DJI ND filter kit for Avata retails for $79,00.

What do you think about this ND filter kit for the DJI Avata? Did you have a chance to try DJI’s latest FPV drone yet? Do you often fly your drone with ND filters? Don’t hesitate to let us know in the comments down below!
