Tiffen, renowned for quality camera filters, just announced ND/PL (Neutral Density/Polarization) pro lens filters tailored for DJI’s Osmo Pocket 3 CMOS Gimbal camera. If you’re working with this stabilized camera, these filters might offer a visual boost, so let’s have a look.
The popular DJI Osmo 3 Pocket camera was released in October 2023, with a large, 2” rotatable OLED touchscreen, 700nits of brightness, and a larger sensor. The camera records up to 4K 120fps video, has a 10-bit D-Log M color profile, and the night mode can do up to 30fps. You can read all the details about the OSMO 3 camera here. Enter the Tiffen ND/PL Filter Kit, which should enhance the camera’s functionality in different, more extreme lighting environments, making the Osmo 3 more versatile.
The Filter Kit contains filters – an ND8/PL, ND16/PL, and an ND32/PL, each of which includes Neutral Density and polarization in a single glass element.
The ND will allow you to decrease your shutter speed (by 3, 4, and 5 stops respectively), while the polarization effectively minimizes glare, especially in conditions where you want to control or eliminate reflections, cut down on haze, darken the sky, or improve the contrast of your image.
The filters are made of 4K high-definition optical glass, are waterproof with an anti-scratch multi-coating, and have an aluminum filter clip.
The Tiffen ND/PL Filter Trio for DJI OSMO 3 is available now and can be purchased for $69.99. The Filter Kit comes in a carrying case with a cleaning cloth and has a 10-year limited warranty.
For more information visit the Tiffen website.
Do you have a DJI OSMO 3, and would you consider these filters as a must-have accessory? Are there other cameras with these kinds of filters that you use or can recommend? Let us know in the comments below.

A camera was put in my hands at 16, and I’ve been taking photographs ever since. An American, I’ve lived and worked in Vienna for many years both as a photographer and a photography teacher. Currently I am the photographer for the award-winning Nesterval immersive theater group. I’m a teller of stories. Stories hold my interest. I’ll take on any project with a story to tell.
