Interested in watching how the Nucleus Nano II and Hydra Arm Mini are made? Tilta, the leading manufacturer of camera accessories, opened their doors to CineD and invited us to visit their factory. Yes, we were impressed seeing first-hand the magnitude of what they create. Welcomed by Tilta’s founders and owners, Mr. Zeng and Mr. Zhou, we learned what brought them to team up and open the company. Curious to find out more? Then join us for an in-depth excursion, Chinese Tea ceremony, culinary experience, and, of course, an exclusive factory tour!
Exploring companies that cater to our filmmaking industry is always a delight. It offers a golden opportunity to introduce the individuals behind the brand and listen to their philosophy regarding the company’s attitude and approach to product design. Also, it is a great chance to explore their culture and surroundings, and even more importantly, see the dedication, enthusiasm, and pride behind making such products.
Earlier this year, I had the opportunity to take a short trip to Shenzhen and visit Tilta. In some ways, Tilta and CineD started their “large sensor journey” at the same time, when the Canon EOS 5D Mark II was first introduced to the market. Like many of us, Mr. Zeng and Mr. Zhou were professionals who embraced the DSLR revolution as users at an early stage. Drawing on their work experience, they decided to start a company with the aim of “transforming” DSLR-size cameras to look more professional. Many moons later, Tilta is a worldwide, established company with a stronghold in the US. Being a leader in manufacturing camera accessories, Tilta have earned the trust of many, and today the company produces over 1500 parts/products(!).
This film is the first in a series of factory tours we conducted in China, and there is much more to come.

The main camera used for filming during this trip: is the FUJIFILM X-S20.
Many thanks to the people at Tilta who were kind enough to open their company doors to us.
So, enjoy this film, and don’t forget to let us know in the comment section below what other companies you would like to see featured in the future.
