DOP Justin Talley sent me this little promo piece that he shot with a bunch of HDSLR’s. He was also kind enough to break down the shoot for us. Here is his side of the story. Click here to check it out.
We also rocked and rolled with two additional Canon T2is which were operated by either Thanos, camera assistants or planted by me.Car footage was shot with either the 7D, 5D MkII or with Contour HD cams provided by Matt Farah of The Smoking Tire (Matt also provided the 5D MkII).Our “Shotmaker” rig was Matt’s Raptor with a jib mounted to his trailer hitch. OJ operated the 5D w/a 16-35L off the end of the jib and monitored off of my Lilliput cause, well, if it fell to the ground and got run over, no one was gonna cry.Our glass was a mix of Canon and Nikon. We rolled with a 16-35, a 24-70 and two 70-200s as well as my set of Nikon AIS lenses (24mm 2.8, 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.4, 105mm 2.5 and 180mm 2.8).Our rigs were primarily Redrock gear with a little bit of my own custom gear designed and built by Modern Studio Equipment for both myself and OJ.Producer – Tim WhitcomeDirector – Greg ThanosD.P./A Cam – Justin Talley (That’s me)B Cam – OJ DeFilippoC Cam – James Moore5-8 camera shootA Cam – Canon 7D/Canon 5D MkIIB Cam – Canon 7DC Cam – Canon 5D MkII
