The day has finally come! After a very successful 10 seconds short film competition with FUJIFILM in June, we have spent weeks judging all the great entries. And here they are: the winners of 10 x FUJIFILM X-H2S and 10 x $1,000 production budget!
We didn’t take this responsibility lightly – after asking you (and then again and then again), our dear audience, to submit 10 second short films about why you deserve a FUJIFILM X-H2S and $1,000 production budget – we received hundreds and hundreds of entries. 463 eligible different entries, to be exact (not counting duplicates), plus around 100 non eligible ones (wrong length, or not all requirements of the competition fulfilled – we contacted all of them in time and everyone had a chance to fix it!).
We were truly overwhelmed by the quality of many of the entries, and we applied a complex judging mechanism to all the videos. FUJIFILM, Johnnie and I each voted and gave points for various aspects of each video. It wasn’t easy to circle only 10 winners, but that’s what we had to do – and we’re pretty confident we picked deserving filmmakers. You can watch the 10 winners below.
All the makers of the films below win 1 FUJIFILM X-H2S camera (body only) from FUJIFILM plus $1,000 from CineD. They will be contacted individually next week by FUJIFILM and CineD in order to receive their prizes as soon as possible.

Because the 5 runner-up videos to the top 10 winners were VERY close in terms of their total points, we decided to give them a smaller, yet still great prize too: a full year of MZed Pro membership, THE best online course subscription for filmmakers. These filmmakers will be contacted next week to have their accounts set up.
As an MZed Pro member, they also get access to nearly 300 hours of filmmaking education, plus we’re constantly adding more courses (several in production right now).

And because we are still amazed by the sheer amount of effort and the great achievements by everyone who submitted, we are donating individual 30-day full access codes for MZed Pro to everyone who took part in the competition (with an eligible entry showing up in the galleries), a total of 463 filmmakers. This means you get free access to all of the courses above for a full month. (And no, there is no free trial on the website!) So we hope you can enjoy all the great information we have on our education platform MZed.
