Z CAM recently released a new LPL lens mount for its E2 flagship series cameras. This interchangeable lens mount allows you to use LPL lenses on your Z CAM E2-S6, E2-F6, or E2-F8 camera and does not require any shimming. So let’s take a closer look at it!
Regarding cinema cameras, Chinese manufacturer Z CAM has been relatively silent since the launch of their E2-F6 Pro full-frame cinema camera at IBC 2022. However, the company launched many professional LED lighting solutions as part of its ZOLAR lineup, such as the ZOLAR Vega and Toliman 1×1 we reviewed here.
The company is now back with a useful accessory if you want to shoot with premium cinema lenses on your Z CAM E2 camera: an LPL lens mount.
Z CAM has many user-interchangeable lens mounts for their E2 “flagship series” cameras, consisting of the E2-S6, E2-F6, E2-F6 Pro, and E2-F8. The company already had lens mounts for Canon EF, Leica M, PL, E2_MFT with Active Lock, and Canon EF “TurboMount” 0.71x lens mount adapter.
To support even more lenses – especially for the full-frame versions – Z CAM recently released an LPL mount. As with all the other lens mounts, the LPL mount attaches to your camera via four included screws, which makes it an easy swap. Also, Z CAM claims no shims are required to fit this custom mount to your Z CAM camera. With this mount, you can use your Z CAM E2 camera with Tokina Vista Cinema primes, ARRI Signature lenses, DZOFilm GNOSIS lenses, Leitz Cine, and more…
The LPL mount for Z CAM E2 flagship cinema cameras is available now for $99.
