Online Editing Course in DR. Source: Resolve Editor Pro
The days when DaVinci Resolve was only a professional color grading software are long gone. For the last few years, Blackmagic Design has been improving and expanding DaVinci Resolve significantly. It has grown to a fully capable NLE and nowadays it is not an exception when a film production house uses Resolve for the whole post-production process.
When it comes to education, there are many options available online for the Resolve. Some of them are free, some are paid. Blackmagic Design offers education directly as well. Recently, they had to cancel some stops of their DR European Tour, but there are tons of materials and manuals online. It can, however, be a bit difficult to go through these materials alone. That’s when custom made online courses come in. An Austrian filmmaker Simon Fraissler launched his own DaVinci Resolve online course called Resolve Editor Pro. What does he offer?

DaVinci Resolve’s main benefit for editors is its ability to tackle every step of postproduction within one single app: editing, effects & compositing, audio and color grading.
Resolve Editor Pro is a compact online course specifically designed for editors who want to switch to Resolve for editing. It covers every step of editing: importing and syncing media, efficient editing and trimming, effects and keyframes, time ramping, subtitles, proxy workflow, multicam editing, and more.
On top of that, the course also features introductory lessons to the effects & compositing section, the audio section, and the color grading section.
The course is structured and divided into 13 chapters and more than 40 short lessons. It offers lifetime access and comes with a free training project file and footage which will be used during the course. Members receive the course keyboard layout, a free LUT pack containing 13 creative grading LUTs, and 6 custom made zoom transitions.
The Resolve Editor Pro online course is now online and available. The early-bird introduction price is $299 (regular price will later be $399). Given the difficult situation with COVID-19-related home quarantine in most countries, Resolve Editor Pro offers a time-limited special quarantine price of only $149. The offer is activated with a coupon code STAYHOME and it is only valid till April 25, 2020.
To get a sneak peek of the course, you can join the free Resolve Editor Pro webinar covering the 9 steps to make the switch to Resolve forediting.
Do you have experience with DaVinci Resolve for editing? Do you use a different NLE but think about switching to Resolve? Let us know in the comments underneath the article.
