These days, we don’t need an entire crew to produce fantastic video and audio content. With a smartphone or a laptop, we have a studio in our pocket that transforms our ideas into reality. Now, Austrian Audio is offering a USB-C portable microphone. Let’s see what it offers!
Within this context, Austrian Audio has announced their new MiCreator Studio, a portable microphone targeted to content creators. Austrian Audio is a company founded in 2017 by former AKG engineers and is based in Vienna.
The MiCreator Studio is a high-audio quality microphone that uses a condenser capsule featuring a maximum of 130 dB SPL (sound pressure level, the highest level the mic can record without distorting), giving the phone the ability to capture loud sources like concerts, live gigs, etc.
The microphone’s size and weight make it ideal for podcasters or content creators who produce outside the studio. It incorporates a mechanism called FlexTilt, which allows directing the mic to the sound source. The MiCreator Studio also looks like a well-built mic, featuring full metal housing for a durable life that offers the user peace of mind under challenging scenarios like travel videos and documentaries.
Austrian Audio has created this microphone to offer users a simple and straightforward experience. It features a one-knob jog wheel for intuitive control and plug-and-play connectivity.
Finally, MiCreator Studio also unlocks Steinberg’s Cubase LE when connected to an iOS device. If you are a musician, a music producer, or a composer, I’m sure you will appreciate this feature. The MiCreator Studio also features latency-free direct monitoring.
Austrian Audio MiCreator Studio is now available for preorder at $199.00. For more information, have a look at the Austrian Audio website.
So, what do you think about this portable mic? Do you use plug-and-play microphones with your portable devices to record sound? Let us know in the comments!
