Atomos has released AtomOS 11.06.00, a new firmware update for their monitors that adds SRT streaming and Camera-to-Cloud integration with MediaSilo. There is also good news for FUJIFILM shooters since the update adds F-LOG2 support. Let’s take a look!
Atomos, the Australian company based in Melbourne specializing in touchscreen monitors/recorders for filmmakers, has released AtomOS 11.06.00, a firmware update for their devices that incorporates SRT Streaming, a new Camera-to-Cloud destination with MediaSilo, and F-LOG2 support across all AtomOS 11 devices.
SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) is an open-source video transport protocol and technology stack that optimizes video streaming performance across unpredictable networks. The new AtomOS 11.06.00 update gives streaming support to the protocol in two modes (‘Caller’ and ‘Listener’).
We can configure our SRT device mode with Atomos Cloud Studio. The supported resolutions are 1280×720 and 1920×1080, and the frame rates are 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97, 30, 50, 59.94, 60 (progressive only).
As Atomos announced in NAB 2024, Atomos Cloud Studio now supports MediaSilo. We can set up our connections and destinations through a web interface included in the Camera-to-Cloud plan in Atomos Cloud Studio.
FUJIFILM users shooting in F-LOG2 will also benefit from this update since AtomOS 11.06.00 now supports the profile in AtomOS 11 devices, with more accurate color processing when shooting and monitoring.
You can download AtomOS 11.06.00 from their website at no cost. Please check the release notes on each model if you need information about the installation and known issues to be fixed in future updates.
