Blackmagic Design has just announced the launch of DaVinci Resolve 16.2 that includes numerous new features and fixes. Most of the improvements are Fairlight-related, which is the build-in audio editor in DaVinci Resolve. Also, Blackmagic released a firmware update for its Video Assist 5″/7″ 12G HDR monitors/recorders that adds Blackmagic RAW recording option for Panasonic EVA-1 and Canon EOS C300 Mark II shooters. Let’s take a closer look at these updates!

Blackmagic Design just released the Blackmagic Video Assist 3.1 firmware update. This update is compatible with the Video Assist 5″/7″ 12G HDR monitors-recorders. Here are all the addition/improvements this firmware update brings:
Also, for Panasonic EVA1 and Canon C300 Mark II shooters, you now get support for Blackmagic RAW on Video Assist 12G HDR models.
Along with this firmware update, Blackmagic RAW has been updated to version 1.7, which includes support for Blackmagic RAW files recorded from the EVA1 and C300 Mark II cameras. Finally, Blackmagic RAW 1.7 improves Blackmagic RAW plugin performance with Adobe Premiere Pro.
Both updates are available now for free, and you can download these directly on Blackmagic Design’s support page.
Blackmagic Design has just introduced an update of its famous NLE: DaVinci Resolve 16.2. Like every DaVinci Resolve update, this one includes numerous improvements and fixes, but most of the changes are in the Fairlight page, which is the audio editor built-in Resolve.
