Chinese lens manufacturer BLAZAR announced a new wide-angle 1.5x full-frame anamorphic lens: the Remus 33mm T1.6. This lens will be available in either PL or Canon EF mount, with user-interchangeable lens mounts and two different lens flare options: amber or blue. This additional lens will be showcased during NAB 2024, so let’s take a closer look at it and what we know so far!
BLAZAR released the Remus series of 1.5x full-frame anamorphic lenses in December 2023 with three focal lengths: 45mm, 65mm, and 100mm. These compact lenses started shipping in January 2024. Pre-orders for the BLAZAR Remus 33mm T1.6 1.5x full-frame anamorphic lens will be announced soon. There is currently no information about pricing or availability, but it should be in the same budget ballpark of $1,000.
