BLUESHAPE has released a new robust powering option for filmmakers: the BLUESHAPE PG700E. This compact power generator has four interchangeable 300Wh battery modules, it is silent, and it features one 240/110V AC 50/60Hz outlet that can provide up to 700W of continuous AC power. Let’s take a closer look at this small and rugged powering unit!
Honda power generators are close to being an industry standard in the film industry and are vastly used worldwide. However, as time goes by, LED lights are slowly replacing “traditional” tungsten/HMI fixtures. LED lamps have numerous advantages, they generate less heat, draw less power, and a lot of fixtures can be powered by V-Mount/Gold Mount batteries.
But, some big COB LED lights like the Aputure LS 600D and the Nanlux Evoke 1200 are still hard to run off batteries. Italian battery manufacturer BLUESHAPE has just released the PG700E portable power generator to solve that issue.
The BLUESHAPE PG700E is a compact power generator in a Pelican 1510-style case. It has dimensions of 54.9 x 34.6 x 23.6cm/21.6 x 13.6 x9.2in for a weight of 18kg/39.6lbs. Good thing they have wheels and a telescopic handle to roll the case on set.
The PG700E is shock-proof and IP67 water-resistant. On the inside you’ll find:
Four interchangeable 300Wh battery modules power the BLUESHAPE PG700E. According to the company, these internal batteries “can be easily replaced in the event of an after-sales service.”
The BLUESHAPE PG700E is available now for €5083. As a direct comparison, the bebob CUBE 1200 is €3053, but it has a maximum load of 480W “only.”
