Swedish manufacturer CRDBAG has just released an updated version of its first product: the CRDPOUCH MKII. The improved camera accessories pouch now features velcro straps, and PALS webbing made for MOLLE accessories, PELI lid inserts, and more. Let’s take a closer look at these!
In September 2021, CRDBAG introduced the CRDPOUCH and CRDWALL. These high-quality camera accessories pouches were a big success for the company, as the first batch was sold out in less than 3 months.
The team at CRDBAG listened to numerous customer feedbacks and went back to the drawing board to improve their product. The idea behind the CRDPOUCH MKII was to “raise the bar for the standard of sub-packing equipment once more,” according to the company.
The CRDBAG CRDPOUCH MKII has the same external size as the first generation, and you still have the choice between four different versions:
On the outside, you still have a clear window to put labels, the zippers are made by YKK and are weather-resistant, and there is a robust tactical snap hook on the side of the pouches. So what’s new?
At the front of the CRDPOUCH MKII, CRDBAG put a large velcro strip to attach custom patches, small accessories, or badges.
Next to the velcro strip, they put a 50mm wide custom label window. You can put a 1″/24mm piece of gaffer on it to identify the gear inside your pouch or put a printed Dymo/Brother label inside.
There is now a side label on the side of the pouch, where you can order an optional custom logo sew.
On the other side, there are now PALS webbing. PALS stands for Pouch Attachment Ladder System. This system is useful to attach your CRDBAG CRDPOUCH MKII together, attach the pouch to MOLLE (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment) accessories, PELI lid inserts, or at the outside of a backpack/case, for example.
The CRDPOUCH MKII is available for preorder now and will start shipping in April/May 2022. Here are the prices:
These are a little bit more expensive than the now-discontinued first version.
