Edelkrone has just released a new battery solution that allows you to easily power up your entire setups: the Edelkrone Power Module. This little box converts any V-Mount/Gold Mount battery into four DC Jack outputs so you can power multiple Edelkrone devices. Let’s take a closer look at it!

Edelkrone is known for making filmmakers’ lives easier with innovative, easy to use products to create camera movements. We recently talked about their Pan PRO head, the JibONE and HeadPLUS, and their latest SliderPLUS V5.

The Edelkrone ecosystem’s beauty is that all products work seamlessly together. It allows you to create and repeat complex moves easily. To simplify things further, the company has just released the Power Module that acts as the central power hub of your setup.

Edelkrone Power Module – Features

The Edelkrone Power Module is basically a power distribution box that converts any V-Mount/Gold Mount battery into four DC Jack output. Additionally, the box has a built-in D-Tap port to power other accessories if needed. There’s an On/Off switch on top of the box, so you do not drain your battery when not in use.

In short, it means that this little box can power up to four Edelkrone devices via only one battery. This reduces charging times, battery swaps and powering issues during your shoot.

Also, most Edelkrone products are initially powered by Canon LP-E6 batteries (7.2V/1800mAh/13Wh). If you put a 98Wh battery or higher on the Power Module, you’ll have much longer run times.

With a small footprint – 84 x 64,5 x 34 mm/3,3 x 2,53 x 1,33in – and a weight of only 170g/6oz, the Power Module can be attached to a tripod via its included cold shoe to hook & loop fastener. Indeed, you can also attach it directly to a cold shoe on your rig.

The Edelkrone Power Module comes with five DC to DC cables: four 1.3m cables and one 1.5m cable.
