GVM (short for Great Video Maker) announced their new PRO Series of LED lights during NAB 2023. The Bi-Color LED Spotlights are available in multiple strengths, ranging from 200W up to 650W, and they all feature smartphone app and DMX control support. Accessories can be attached using the integrated Bowens mount.
GVM produces very affordable LED lights, especially aimed at film students and beginners. Their new PRO Series includes 6 lights, featuring 200W, 300W, 400W, 500W, and 650W of output. A 750W version is also in the works.
All the lights have a CRI and TLCI of 97+ and built-in active cooling fans to keep them cool. The fans are also very quiet so they don’t interrupt the audio recording on set.
All PRO Series lights are bi-color, with a color temperature range of 2700 – 7500 Kelvin. There is an integrated Bowens mount in front of all the lights that allows attachment of common photography light modifiers like softboxes.
You can power these lights using DC-In and also using an optional V-Mount battery power solution. The lamps come in a protective soft bag with a reflector, yoke, power supply and power cable.
You can buy the new GVM PRO bi-color LED spotlights directly from the manufacturer’s website. The new lights are pretty affordable. Pricing is as follows:
