If you head to Ikonoskop home page you will find the following message on their front page: “Ikonoskop has temporarily stopped the production of the A-Cam dll cameras due to a strained financial situation. We are working hard to find a solution to this and hope to start up production as soon as possible”.
Indeed sad news as this unique looking camera which was the first to offer the indie film makers community full HD quality combined with cinema DNG RAW recording format never took off.
In my opinion, the relatively high price the camera was sold for in combination with the growing popularity of the modestly priced HDSLRs made it very difficult for the company to survive and create a solid market base. I wonder if a more agressive pricing policy would have made this camera more popular.
