Until June 1st 5th, at 5:59 AM GMT+2, you can save up to $1,000 on the Blackmagic Design Cinema Camera 6K in Leica L-Mount, a massive 40% discount. So, if you want to get your hands on one, hurry up, as you have less than 48 72 hours to grab that deal.
The Blackmagic Design Cinema Camera 6K was released in September 2023 during IBC. This revamped version of the Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro was the first Blackmagic Design camera to feature a full-frame image sensor with a 3:2 Open Gate recording mode. The camera records internally to CFexpress Type B cards, but USB-C external recording to an SSD is also possible. The BMCC 6K can capture footage in BRAW in 6K full-frame 3:2 at up to 36fps, 6K 2.4:1 at 60P, and 1080P at up to 120fps for slow-motion recording.
Also, this camera is the first BMPCC to feature a Leica L-mount instead of a Canon EF mount. Thanks to the short flange focal distance of 20mm, the L-mount allows you to adapt many different kinds of lenses to it, including PL-mount lenses, Canon EF, Canon FD, Nikon G, Leica M, and so on.
If you missed it, you can watch our in-depth lab test of the Cinema Camera 6K here, which showed solid performances.
Ten days ago, Blackmagic Design announced a discount on their Cinema Camera 6K model with an L-mount for a “limited time.” It sounds like two weeks was enough for the company to close the deal on June 1st.
Unfortunately for our European readers, this deal is already over on CVP but remains available through our US partner, B&H. This deal is the lowest price this camera has ever been, so if you want to get your hands on one, you better not wait too long!
What do you think about this deal? Have you already shot with the Cinema Camera 6K? Don’t hesitate to let us know in the comments down below!
