Libec has introduced the TH-V, a cost-effective and competitive tripod. We went to their booth in NAB 2024 and talked to Koichi Yamaguchi-san, who gave us information about this new tripod from the company. Let’s check what he told us!
Libec has introduced the TH-V tripod, a product targeted to owners of mirrorless DSLRs and handheld video cameras, with exciting features in its price range. With this product, Libec expands their TH series of tripods by offering another competitive option for content creators.Â
The TH-V tripod has friction control for pan and tilt, a rare feature in this price range. The tripod is lightweight and features very thin aluminum legs designed for robustness and lightness at the same time. The tripod features an LED-illuminated bubble level, which is useful when filming in dark environments.
The TH-V features a 75mm/2.95in ball flat base fluid head with female screw holes at the bottom. The locking system is a snap-on sliding plate compatible with Manfrotto and Sachtler heads, and the tripod features a fixed counterbalance for cameras up to about 5kg/11lbs. The weight of the tripod is 3.6kg/7.9lb and the height can be adjusted from 73-163cm/28.7-64.2in.
The Libec TH-V tripod will cost around $400, and the stock will be ready by the end of May or the beginning of June. For more information, please visit the product’s website.
