As we announced earlier this month Cineroid has presented their new EVF at NAB 2011.While the interior seems to have stayed the same as also the name with the same prefix of EVF4… suggests, the exterior has turned to a more durable metal casing and different input output models.
Cineroid was the first company to introduce an EVF and as we’ve seen in Johnnies review before also the tests at NAB showed that the quality of this 800×480 3.2 inch screen is very good and it’s easy to focus (keep in mind that not only resolution but also screen and evf chip quality is important to get focussing right).
Here’s a video with Joseph who shows us some of the many new features and menu system.
As far as I can tell we’re the first here to present pricing and availability of the new units. See below.
Available June 2011:Metal / HDSI loopthrough:EVF4MSS – $1399
Metal / hdmi in – HDSDI out:EVF4MHS – $1249
Available May 2011:Metal / hdmi loopthrough:EVF4MMH – $999
Already available (“older” units that came out some months ago with same screen):hdmi loopthrough:EVF4Le – $799
hdmi in only:EVF4Be – $649
Cineroid EVFs are/will be available at the following resellers throughout the wolrd: Cineroid where to buy
