The Italian company BlueShape is world renowned for their incredibly reliant batteries. They are set to introduce a new line of Granite batteries that have a WIFI feature.
The all-new Granite Two series batteries will come in models of the HD Splash series (100Wh, 190Wh, and 270Wh).
The second product, the Granite Mini has a small footprint of 110mm x 96mm (4,33″ x 3.78″) , and a high drain capability of 12A of continuous discharge. There are two models available: 95Wh and 142Wh.
Previously only available as a V-Lock battery, the new Granite Two and Granite Mini batteries will also be available with the 3-stud mount.
Both Granite Two and Granite Mini will have WiFi embedded, which will allow the user to control their batteries via an iOS or Android App on their phone or tablet.
Unique in the industry, the Blueshape Granite Two and Granite Mini models allow rental houses to set a rental period on their battery. The batteries lock themselves once the rental period has expired.
Something that caught my attention was a new flight case that they have developed. Little is known about it and we will find out more about it during NAB. Apparently it is a UN certified solution and IATA approved, and allows you to ship large Lithium Ion battery packs.
“If it’s not Blueshape, it’s just a battery” is the companies slogan. I must personally give them credit. I use Blueshape Granite BV270HDÂ V-Lock batteries on my Phantom Flex 4K, and there is no other product that I would choose over their batteries. For more information on Blueshape Batteries, feel free to a look at their website.
Have you had similar experiences with granite batteries? Or do you have another “go to” battery manufacturer? Let me know in the comments!
